陈述式

When we tell an anecdote(轶事) or describe the events in a book or film, we often use the present simple(一般现在时) ("he plays") and the present continuous(现在进行时) ("he is driving", "he is listening") to make the action seem more engaging or dramatic. 🎭

  • Pete Davidson plays a puzzled character in the film.

Now, let's look at the narrative tenses we use to tell stories in the past. These tenses are often used to describe events in books. 📚

  • I was listening to music while I cleaned the kitchen. 我一边听音乐,一边打扫厨房。

讨论电影类型

  • adj-verb 在名词前面加连字符 -,如果在名词后面就不需要
    • I hate slow-paced horror movies.
    • This film is slow paced.
  • I’m that kinda person that really likes something like frightening that needs to get me like out of the blue. 我是那种非常喜欢可怕事物的人,而且须得让我突然感到惊恐。
    • out of the blue 来源于:like a bolt out of the blue,意思是「on a blue-sky day ☀️you wouldn't expect a lightning bolt! 」(晴天你就不会期待闪电)
    • The idea for the film came to me out of the blue! = The idea for the film came unexpectedly.
